Co-Director, Alliance for Feminist Movements

Salary: Gross annual salary is $90,959.00
Benefits: Group medical and life insurances. Paid time off (20 vacation days, 15 sick days, 5 personal days and up to 12 public holidays). Contribution of 5% of gross monthly salary to retirement savings.
The position and profile
The Alliance for Feminist Movements (the Alliance), currently hosted by AWID, is a multi-stakeholder initiative aimed at increasing and improving the quality of resources supporting feminist movements, as well as mobilizing political support for diverse feminist movements. The Alliance brings together governments, private philanthropy, women’s/feminist funds and feminist civil society to increase and improve resources for feminist movements, as well as build political support and the visibility of diverse feminist movements, agendas, and policies.
The Co-Director is a full time leadership position responsible for overseeing the Secretariat for the Alliance and providing strategic and feminist leadership to develop, implement, and evaluate the key strategies and related work plans as approved by the Alliance’s membership and Steering Group alongside the current co-Director.
The successful candidate should have extensive experience in building and nurturing relationships with stakeholders, developing and implementing organizational strategies and work plans, and providing support to a team. The candidate should have strong grounding in feminist movements, experience navigating multi-stakeholder spaces, and be able to convey information clearly, concisely and in a compelling way.
In addition, you should have demonstrated the ability to build effective relationships with a diverse range of groups, and relevant connections with feminist movements, governments, and / or feminist funders. You are someone who can thrive in a virtual environment working with diverse communities and movements across the globe, motivated to take on challenges and collaboratively find innovative and creative solutions.
